Jaipur continues to be certainly one of my favorite destinations and I am sure many others who have visited this place share the same view. Unlike other holiday destinations in India; this doesn’t merely present ancient forts but exemplifies the essence of India. It is often a prototype in the myriad cultures and traditions that will make India how it’s today. If the glorious stucco buildings won’t take your breath away then your vibrant bazaars will.
I visited this beautiful pink city with my children and also since there were booked our package from a web-based travel deal; we had been provided an itinerary which saved us the effort of planning out the trip. Our first day was spent in the luxurious hotel we stayed in which exhibited the original Jaipur. One thing that anybody who’s visited this place would trust is that Jaipur supplies the best array of hotels at cheap prices. Anyway, after a long tedious journey and a long time of sleep we left to look around the nightlife in Jaipur. All I can have to say is; I was transported back in history; the night view of Jaipur city is magical when it is lit up at nighttime, the pink hues of the city turn into various colors. There are several bazaars to explore, and each you are like unraveling another layer of an onion. To witness the stimulating aroma of spices, smoke from open fires and sweet fragrant tea being brewed was a formidable experience for individuals.
After truck lots of shopping (as a result of my aunts) we tried the standard thali at Chowki Dhani. You can not miss this in Jaipur. It offers you traditional Rajasthani food inside quaint mud and thatch dwellings. The live music and dance mesmerized me as well as the food truly represented the rich Rajasthani flavors. After a happy and heavy stomach, we left for our hotel, wanting to awaken the next day and explore a greater portion of this magnificent city.
The following day was well spent coming to the travel deals for Jaipur like Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Astronomical Observatory, Hawa Mahal, City Palace as well as Museum. Amber Fort is really a majestic fort about the brink about the Amer hill overlooking the pastoral landscapes in the ground along with the Jaipur city. The City Palace along with the royal museum tell a saga of rich past. The Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds still echoes the gossips with the royal ladies (as told in my experience by the local guide). A Ride on the decorated elephant was surely royal fun and marked the final of the perfect day.
Finally, it was time to wrap up our visit although my mom had to drag me for this vacation, I couldn’t thank her enough now. Rajasthan has gained a brand new definition to me and would always remind me of “Khamma Ghani” (most welcome) perhaps the most common word employed by every local, the vivid bazaars, the rich and tasteful Rajasthani food, the forts that remind among Kings and Queens, and the ancient folklore.
